Yieldlab, a technology and consulting firm, was founded in Hamburg, Germany in 2010. The company is primarily serving publishers with premium inventory in the area of yield optimisation in the online advertising market. As one of the first German platforms, Yieldlab enables its partner publishers to optimise their inventory in the form of auction-based or rule-based programmatic advertising as well as to automate their offers to the demand side. Marco Klimkeit, founder of Yieldlab, and his team developed the Yieldlab Supply Side Platform. With the launch of Yieldlab YRD in 2015, Yieldlab once more becomes a pioneer in the advancement of programmatic advertising. Yieldlab became a subsidiary of the Virtual Minds AG in 2013.



Marco Klimkeit has been working in the online advertising industry for 20 years. In 2010, he founded with Yieldlab the first programmatic advertising and yield optimisation platform in Germany. As a member of the executive board and founder of the Yieldlab AG, he is responsible for all areas of corporate governance. He also holds equity in the Virtual Minds AG, Yieldlab's parent company.

However, Yieldlab is not his first start-up business. Already in 1998, Marco developed one of the first AdServer systems for agencies laying the foundation for the newtention technologies GmbH where he was able to realise many more innovations for the online advertising industry before selling the company and focusing on the formation of Yieldlab. Marco was born in Hamburg, is married and has two children.



As member of the Yieldlab executive board, Frank Sültmann is responsible for Sales and Marketing. The renowned digital expert and advertising networker with 16 years of profound experience in the online sector – on both the agency and marketer side – comes from Amnet Group (part of Dentsu Aegis Network), which he has successfully and substantially built up since 2012 as its managing director into one of the leading providers for the programmatic and cross-media addressing of target groups. Before his switch to the programmatic side, the trained publishing manager worked in online advertising research for The Nielsen Company, as well as in leading positions for companies such as United Internet Media or GroupM. As a Hamburg native Frank moved back the Hamburg after spending some years in Karlsruhe, Melbourne and Düsseldorf. Frank is 42 years of age and has a son.



Ghanem Awn is COO at Yieldlab and oversees the areas of Business Operation and Business Development. Ghanem has been working in the media industry for over 20 years and has extensive experience in the areas of Business Development, Account Management and Consulting as well as Product Management in the area of Digital Advertising Media and Technology. Prior to joining Yieldlab, Ghanem was head of the key account management team at the internationally active DQ&A Group responsible for customers throughout Europe, as well as for strategic partnerships with the technology providers Google DoubleClick and Brightcove. Before that, he worked at newtention where he played a part in the successful development and launch of the first retargeting campaigns in online marketing.

Ghanem was born in Lüneburg. He inherited the fascination for technology from his grandfather, who invented and developed technology for consumer electronics by means of „German Engineering“. Ghanem is married and has a son.
